THE WALK TO EMMAUS
A Transformative Journey with Christ
While they were talking and discussing, Jesus himself came near and walked with them. – Luke 24:15
Imagine embarking on a soulful journey, one where you rediscover the essence of Christian spirituality and are reborn with a fervor like never before. The Walk to Emmaus offers you a precious opportunity: a chance to experience God’s grace and love, poured out through fellow believers, as you delve into the very heart of Christianity.
The adventure starts with a call from the heart - a genuine and heartfelt invitation from a guiding sponsor. Should you embrace this calling, you'll then take the symbolic step of completing an application. Rest assured, every step is undertaken with utmost care and prayer by the Emmaus leaders. When the moment aligns perfectly with God’s design, you will be beckoned to immerse yourself in a three-day retreat, where the teachings of New Testament Christianity come alive not just as stories, but as a way of life.
The journey doesn’t end after these three transformative days. The fellowship continues as participants come together in tight-knit groups, forging bonds and supporting one another in their evolving relationship with Christ.
The essence of the Emmaus experience goes beyond personal growth. It's about honing your unique gifts, kindling the fire of servant-leadership within, and using these treasures in service of the church and its divine mission. With every step, the call to discipleship becomes clearer, urging you to make a difference in your home, church, and wider community.
The vision of Emmaus is clear and profound: to empower every believer to act with purpose and passion. It's more than just an experience – it's a movement that magnifies the grace-filled rhythm of our lives, inspiring us to share this melody with the world. So, will you answer the call?
Our Mission:
To empower leaders to be the hands and feet of Christ.

What Happens After the Emmaus Weekend?
You're invited to journey deeper with Christ, embracing a lifelong commitment known as the Fourth Day. Those who attend a Walk to Emmaus are encouraged to:
- Expand their own spiritual lives through worship, study and active participation in their local church
- Become more active disciples of Christ in service to the world
To foster continuous discipleship, the Emmaus movement provides distinct opportunities. Firstly, small groups of four to six individuals convene weekly to share their spiritual paths and promote committed discipleship. Secondly, monthly community events allow Emmaus participants to gather for camaraderie, worship, and learning. Lastly, members are kept updated on the support required for forthcoming Walk to Emmaus weekends and additional avenues for servant leadership.
